Mary Hall Chiles
For more than thirty years, Mary has worked as a volunteer in the church and non-profit world as a teacher, mentor, board member, retreat leader, and writer. In 2009, Mary earned a Master’s in Religious Studies and a Graduate Certificate in Mediation and Conflict Resolution from Missouri State University. More recently she completed a three-year program through the Souljourners Program at the Sophia Center on the campus of Mt. St. Scholastica Monastery, in Atchison, KS.
Mary is the mother of seven remarkable and creative adults. She and her husband, Mike, live on a certified tree farm in the Ozarks. Together, they enjoy five grandchildren, the fruits of their garden, and a rescue dog.
She offers both individual and group spiritual direction sessions at Still Listening, LLC, providing a safe space to be heard.
Mary says, “For me one of the most valuable aspects of Spiritual Direction is the privilege to sit and listen—to be fully present in order to honor someone. Sometimes we talk and sometimes we sit together in contemplative silence. And that’s why I call my practice Still Listening.”
