Nutrition Testimonials
“The past 6 months has been an incredible journey. I wasn’t sure what to expect. I thought I was going on a sugar elimination diet. Not so. First, I eliminated the word DIET from my vocabulary. Second, I embraced “The Circle of Life”.
I became coachable. I became intentional. I embraced change. This has been a journey of one day at a time; and each day is new and you can always start again. I gave up sugar. I got rid of all processed food, and reduced the amount of bread and potatoes I ate.
Thank you, Brandy. It has been a safe and supportive learning experience. Have I mastered all 18 modules? No, but I have a notebook, notes, handouts, your guidance, access to 2B Well – tools to use each and every day.
I have definitely come away with a stronger foundation and ownership of my health and well being.
I have lost weight. I exercise daily. I feel better. I no longer see diabetes and high blood pressure in my future. I have less mood swings, which helps family dynamics. I still do not see traveling in my immediate future (ha ha).
I truly and sincerely recommend Nutrition for Life to everyone. It is not just about food, it is about body and soul.

“In April 2015, my father passed away suddenly. His death set in motion a series of not so great events that significantly changed my entire outlook on life. Dealing with the aftermath of his death and the unpleasant task of settling his estate with people I hardly consider family (my natural brother excluded) left me with wounds and a need to escape. So I did. I escaped into food, often making bad choices. I escaped into bad habits – barely keeping it together at work, and then coming home to literally crash on the couch at the end of the day. I was a hot mess. And I felt alone.
I knew I needed help. I needed someone who would understand the impact not only dad’s death had on me, but also the impact of the resulting bad life choices. I needed a life coach. And I got one.
When I considered 2B Well as a resource, I went thinking I would get some nutritional help to shed the weight I had put on over the previous year. I was already taking yoga classes there off and on. I always found it to be a calming and welcoming respite. Everyone there embraces, sometimes literally, their clients with a goal of helping them improve their lives. It sounds simple, but that “improving” part is time-consuming and requires patience. The 2B Well staff understands this, and helps them through the process.
Brandy Hickman has been so much more than a life coach for me. Not only does she share similar life experiences, but her intuitiveness and openness allows her to really get to the bottom of what’s causing all the “bad stuff”. I have gotten more out of conversations with her about life in general than in years of therapy. And that’s not a flippant remark. In her program, I have learned to look at myself holistically, and to be careful and patient in this journey back to health.
She has given me a full toolbox to work with, and has shown me how to use each tool in it. She has helped me to see how to work toward bringing balance back to my life. She has shown me how to slow down and not be so hard on myself and to adapt to changes slowly, so they last.
I look so forward to my visits with her because I know that I am going to learn something valuable, either about nutrition, lifestyle choices, relationship nurturing, spiritual focus, or just how to breathe once in a while. And that is not the whole list. Everyone should have a life coach like Brandy. No one should feel that they are so out of control that there is no hope. There is.
I feel like a new person today. I trust myself to do well each day. Not perfect maybe, but that’s okay. I love myself more, and that has allowed me to open up and love more openly those in my world. I feel a deep sense of peace that endures no matter what circumstances are swirling around me.
I still use my toolbox, and will continues to do so from now on. I still have some, ok, most of the weight I had when I started with Brandy, but it doesn’t bother me as much. I know that every day I am doing something that improves my life overall, and that will come in its time. I no longer sabotage myself, but I am kind to me.
Thank you, Brandy. You have a gift, and I’m so thankful you shared it with me.” -D.F.
“With Brandy’s help I have changed my way of thinking about food…from fast, easy, mindless to whole foods, cooking from scratch, ingredient scrutiny, thoughtful planning, growing my own. I’ve changed from “I can’t have” to “I don’t want” thinking. I’ve incorporated new food, started buying organic and shopping at local farms. I have more energy, better hydration, reduced irritability, healthier skin, no mid-afternoon fatigue, reduced toxins exposure, better nutrition yielding more stable health, ability to read and understand nutrition labels and ingredients.
Brandy is super friendly, easy to talk to, wise, gentle, knowledgeable, encouraging, transparent, and flexible. I would recommend Brandy to friends and family who desire greater health and wellness through proper nutrition.” – Lisa E.
“Brandy helped me understand which foods cause not only weight gain but also inflammation, which led to chronic disease. I learned that not only did my poor food choices lead to an unhealthy body, but that I needed to remove all toxins/stress to have a totally healthy body.
I now have an overall feeling of health – more restful, peaceful, knowing I am doing all I can to prevent cancer coming back – weight loss, and off 1 medication. The way I eat and how I live my life in a slower, less stressful way – cutting out as much toxins as I can.
Brandy is very compassionate, knowledgeable, calm, lives what she teaches. An awesome example to follow for a happier, healthier life. I would recommend Brandy to anyone with health concerns, whether due to weight or chronic disease.
The total experience at 2B Well works so well – from nutritional counseling to yoga to naturopathic medicine to seminars they conduct, all have led me to a path to a healthier me.” -Debbie I.
“The biggest change I have noticed is how I look at food. It’s not all about losing weight and looking awesome. It’s about being happy and feeling awesome. Brandy is very caring and knowledgeable. I would recommend her to anyone needing to make a lifestyle change.”
