Abba Anderson, MSOM, LAc
Abba has practiced acupuncture since 2006 and has more than 12 years experience as a Licensed Acupuncturist (LAc) in private practice. She received her MS in Oriental Medicine from Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley, California in 2005. Abba is certified in gentle Japanese acupuncture techniques, pain and autoimmune disorders, facial rejuvenation, clinical hypnotherapy and Reiki. In 2018, she joined the team of experts at 2B Well.
Abba has served as Editor in Chief of the California Journal of Oriental Medicine from 2006-2011. She also volunteered for Acupuncturists Without Borders from 2011-2013. When Abba organized Missouri acupuncturists to provide treatments for people affected by the 2011 Joplin tornado, she witnessed the profound benefits of acupuncture in traumatic events. This inspired her to support acupuncturists responding to traumatic events around the US including Sandy Hook, Hurricane Sandy, and the Moore, Oklahoma tornadoes.
Abba grew up in Branson, Missouri, graduated from Journalism School at Mizzou in 1984, and received an MA in Creative Writing from Sonoma State University in 2000. Before acupuncture took over her life, she had a career in journalism and public relations. For fun, Abba likes walking in nature, lazy kayaking, wild mind writing with her best buddy at the Mudhouse, and seeing whatever is playing at the Moxie.
